Dunedropping Scheveningen

The dunes, beach, sea and sand form the background for this fun event. The iPad Dune dropping combines fun challenges with navigation skills using an iPad to complete challenges and to navigate your way home. Before the event begins you and your teammates (friends, colleagues or family) are dropped at an undisclosed location in the dunes. To find your way back, team cooperation is essential and the iPad will show you the way. To reach the first POI (Point Of Interest) the iPad will give you directions. Along the way, various challenges appear on your iPad, complete these successfully and your team earns extra points. Try to complete as many challenges as possible. The next set of directions are only revealed on the iPad after you have reached each PIO. Be- careful! Don’t rush too much! Other teams can disrupt your iPad by using special disruptor apps. Of course, your team has the same capabilities, it is just a question of which team uses them most effectively!

During the dropping at certain POI’s, there are a number of special ‘fun’ challenges. These could be in the form of a vehicle challenge or a Frisbee parkour in the dunes. In addition, there are knowledge quizzes about current events, natural phenomena’s and riddles to be solved.

PIO challenges can include:

• Team photo assignment: take a picture with one of the animals that live here in the wild….be careful don’t get too close!
• Dune challenge: we have laid out a special course in the dunes. Your team has to complete the course in the least throws possible (Frisbee or weighted ball) or hits (farmers golf). More challenging than you might think and more importantly a lot of fun.
• Dune-top challenge: On one of the highest dune tops with a view across the sea on one side and The Hague on the other side we will challenge your trivial knowledge skills. Concentrate, the timer is ticking, which team will provide the most correct answers within the given time limit. Sorry, but smartphones are not allowed!
