During this unique incentive trip, we’ll take you along some of the most impressive waterworks and innovative coastal defenses the Netherlands has to offer. You’ll discover how the Dutch have been battling and cooperating with water for centuries.
Guided by local experts, you’ll walk across the pioneering Sand Motor, stand face to face with the imposing Maeslantkering storm surge barrier, and sail past the iconic windmills of Kinderdijk. Along the way, you’ll meet specialists, such as a dijkgraaf (water board official), who will share stories that bring the past to life and explain how water management continues to shape the Netherlands today.
To reach these remarkable locations, you'll travel one day in charming vintage minibuses along the coast and the waterworks, and the next day you’ll be comfortably transported by coach to the Zeeland region.
